MUSSOORIE is a beautiful hill station and municipal board located in the Dehradun district of the INDIAN state of UTTRAKHAND.
It is one of the most beautiful and soothing places in INDIA. The Hill station is in the foothills of the GARHWAL HIMALAYAN range. It is about 35 kilometers from the state capital of DEHRADUN. It is also known as the “QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAINS” and “QUEEN OF THE HILLS”.

1. KEMPTY FALLS
KEMPTY FALL is a beautiful waterfall in the TEHRI district of UTTRAKHAND. It is usually 13km from MUSSOORIE on the CHAKRATA road, It is one of the main tourist attraction in MUSSOORIE people usually visits this place during summer with their friends and families.
It was developed as a tourist destination by British officer JOHN MEKINAN around 1835.
2. HAPPY VALLEY
HAPPY VALLEY is an area situated in the hill stations of MUSSOORIE, The valley has a TIBETAN TEMPLE and a MUNICIPAL GARDEN and from HAPPY VALLEY whole of MUSSOORIE can be seen with GEORGE’S EVEREST house on one side and the HIMALAYAN range on the other side.
3. LAL TIBBA
LAL TIBBA is one of the highest peaks and the most famous place in MUSSOORIE, Tourists are attracted to the Lal Tibba as the place is quite natural and at present time it is still untouched by any major commercial activities, from this point one can take a close view at the peaks of BADRINATH, KEDARNATH, with the help of telescopes which was installed in 1967.
LAL TIBBA has located 4.5 km from MUSSOORIE CITY and one can reach easily this location by foot or by hiring a cab.
4. MUSSOORIE LAKE
MUSSOORIE LAKE is a MAN-MADE LAKE or an artificial lake situated on DEHRADUN-MUSSOORIE ROAD, the lake was recently transformed into a picnic place and with passing time it has become a popular tourist destination, this small lake is created by a natural waterfall and tourists can enjoy boating in the lake with their family and friends and it usually falls in between DEHRADUN and MUSSOORIE so lots of people visit this place and it can be visited throughout the year but the best time to visit this lake is during MONSOON SEASON.
5. SIR GEORGE EVEREST’S HOUSE
GEORGE EVEREST HOUSE has situated about 6km from the GANDHI CHOWK in MUSSOORIE and it is quite a popular tourist destination, It offers spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks, this place is famous among youths and college students, they usually visit this place for camping, picnics and adventure outings.
Well, the place is named after SIR GEORGE EVEREST. He was a Surveyor-General of INDIA from 1830-1843.

6. MUSSOORIE MALL ROAD
